The AdSense
publisher support announced in the Inside AdSense Google group a noteworthy update: now you can place up to three AdSense link units on a page. Until now, this number was limited to one.
I didn’t use link units on this blog until now, but I think to give it a try, to see how they perform. I don’t think I’ll make use of all three of them, because I think that using too many AdSense units on a page attracts a decrease of the CPC, due to the fact that the best paying ads are displayed in the first AdSense module of a page. By first, I mean that module that comes first in the source code of your page: if the sidebar comes first, then the module in the sidebar will be considered first, although it might be displayed below the fold.
Do you imagine how MFAs will look now with a total of 6 AdSense modules allowed?
