How high do you want to rank?

Agloco has just introduced a new feature in the account details: your rank within all Agloco members. I was surprised to find out that I ranked in top 3.13% of all members. For those of you who don’t know, Agloco is a recently launched company which pays you to surf the net (details here).
The ranking is calculated taking into consideration the number of members that signed in under your referral code. If I am doing that good with only 8 members brought to the network, then it means that there is still an excellent growth potential. Still, I am somehow disappointed, because I imagined that so many people are already there, with lots of referrals under their code, that it would be very difficult for me to bring any new members. I discover now that people don’t pay attention to occasions that pass by them in life. There was a cool saying that changed my life (I’m not sure, but I think it belongs to Tony Robbins):

Luck is when preparation meets opportunity.

This is a great life vision: be prepared to meet your opportunities, don’t let them go just like that, because there is only one life we can be sure of (and this is the one we are just living). Think of something (or somebody) in your life that you really love. Then try to figure out which event on your lifepath brought that thing or person into your way. What if you did not notice it (or him, or her) and let it go just as it came? Your life would have never been the same, would it?
Can you imagine how many opportunities we skip every day, by not paying attention to what’s around us? Always in a hurry, always late, always worried, we forget to care. We forget to love. We forget to focus on what’s good for us. How much time does it take to sign in? Two minutes. You surf the net a lot anyway, so all you have to invest for this eventual opportunity are those two minutes. You may say that you don’t want to invest even two minutes in something you don’t know how it is going to be. Do you think that Bill Gates knew how life is going to be for him, when he started to write software? Think how Google started: in a garage. Sure, there were tens of thousands of start-ups that died young, nobody says that everybody is going to be a winner. Agloco may fail. So what? I spent two minutes of my life to sign in, so it’s no big deal. But if Agloco makes it, I will have a slice of that pie and I’ll enjoy thinking back to this time, when everything started. To this time, when I’m sitting here in the middle of the night, writing this post and wishing that all my friends see my point and join me in, so we can celebrate together when the time shall come.
