Steve Irwin, well-known as “The Crocodile Hunter” died this morning, while making a documentary about underwater life of the Great Barrier Reef in Queensland. He was killed by a poisonous stingray barb. He was so badly injured by the fish, that it was impossible for him to be saved by the doctors.
Irwin was famous for his enthusiasm for studying and protecting wildlife. Steve and Terri Irwin were known as the daring and dynamic duo committed to wildlife rehabilitation, animal conservation and each other, as well as the hosts of Animal Planet’s popular show The Crocodile Hunter. Steve was 44 years old and he left behind his wife Terry and his two children, Bob and Bindy.
